Have you ever felt like you’re doing great, your Iman is strong, your grades are amazing, your beauty is shining, and your relationships are flourishing, yet, something feels off? Like a dark cloud hovering over your happiness? You’re not alone. Many of us feel that way, and often, it’s the evil eye or jealousy creeping into our lives.
But guess what? You can totally protect your beautiful heart from these harmful energies, just like our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us. Ready to feel empowered? Let’s dive in!
1. Strengthen Your Connection with Allah (SWT)
Start with the basics, sister. The more connected you are with your Creator, the more protected you are from negative influences. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Whoever says ‘Bismillah, alladhi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fi al-ardi wala fi as-sama’i wa huwa as-sami’ul ‘alim’ (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing) three times in the morning and evening, nothing will harm him.” (Tirmidhi)
Action Tip: Make it a habit to recite this dua every morning and evening. Even better, set a reminder on your phone!
2. Recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas Regularly
Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) would often recite these two powerful Surahs for protection. They are literally shields against jealousy, envy, and evil intentions.
Action Tip: Recite these Surahs every morning and before sleeping. You can also blow over your hands and wipe them over your body after reciting them, just like the Prophet (PBUH) did.
3. Be Grateful, Not Boastful
Sisters, jealousy often strikes when we flaunt our blessings. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to be humble and thankful, not boastful.
Action Tip: Whenever you receive praise or admiration, say “Masha’Allah, La Quwwata Illa Billah” (What Allah has willed; there is no power except with Allah). It’s a beautiful way to acknowledge Allah’s blessings while shielding yourself from envy.
4. Avoid Oversharing Your Blessings
We all love sharing our happy moments, but remember, not everyone watching is rooting for you. The Prophet (PBUH) advised: “Seek help in fulfilling your needs by being discreet, for everyone who is blessed is envied.” (Tabarani)
Action Tip: Be mindful of what you post on social media. Share your journey with Allah more than with the world.
5. Sincerely Pray for Others
Jealousy is real, but so is du’a. Instead of feeling envious of others, make du’a for their success. It softens your heart and increases your blessings.
Action Tip: Next time you feel envy creeping in, say: “Ya Allah, bless them and grant me better.” This is a powerful way to transform negative feelings into positivity.
6. Wear an Attitude of Kindness and Forgiveness
Holding grudges and being harsh only harms your own soul. The Prophet (PBUH) was the epitome of kindness, even to those who wronged him.
Action Tip: Forgive those who have hurt you and make du’a for their guidance. Your heart will feel so much lighter.
7. Trust Allah’s Plan Completely
Sometimes we worry so much about others’ opinions that we forget the only opinion that matters, Allah’s. Put your trust in Him completely.
Action Tip: Regularly recite “Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel” (Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs). Feel the peace wash over your heart.

Sister, your heart is a precious jewel. Don’t let anyone’s negativity rob you of your peace. Protect yourself with these beautiful Sunnahs and Quranic practices, and watch your life transform.
